Creativity Helps Kids Soar

The power of creativity is the power of change. It’s the power of knowing how to face challenges and nurture independent vision. It is the art of making things happen.

Every child needs this superpower. Moreover, as a community, a nation and a planet, we depend on creative thinkers who can innovate and solve our greatest challenges.

That’s why FLY is dedicated to growing our community’s creative capacity. We provide powerful, hands-on, creative experiences to the children in neighborhoods that need us most across Washtenaw and Wayne counties.

While funding for creative development in our public schools is dropping, our resolve to serve these students is strengthening! FLY is honored to continue working with Ypsilanti Community Schools (where 68% of students qualify for the school lunch program due to low household incomes) to bring after school programs that engage and inspire students. Outside of school, you’ll find us in neighborhoods – at community housing centers, libraries, local events and in downtown Ypsilanti at the FLY Creativity Lab (40 N. Huron).

Are you passionate about helping youth gain creative confidence? Join us!

There are so many ways to jump in and take action. We welcome your time, talent, and of course your donations!
